World of Asphalt Recap

After planning for months to exhibit at the largest ever World of Asphalt Show & Conference, we are back home, thankful for our time with our industry peers.

With about 150 education sessions to choose from, we got our learning on early each morning. From mix design to emerging technology and marketing to best operations practices, our brains were full by the time we hit the show floor every day. Our friend TJ Young from Duval Asphalt even presented two sessions about troubleshooting plant operations during the conference.

We were lucky enough to have amazing neighbors – Women of Asphalt – who hosted a very popular mixer complete with a photo booth (and open bar) the first night of the show. We hosted a putting contest in our booth Tuesday and Wednesday and our lucky winners were Jared from Milestone, Rebekah from Heritage and Michael from Marathon.

We celebrated Valentine’s Day during the last day of the show. (By the way, YOU’RE WELCOME! to all the guys who grabbed Valentine’s Day candy and chocolate hearts from us for their special someones, haha!)

Close to 100 FFA students attended the show this final day for a special #AgtoAsphalt Day. Lab Manager Rhonda Hale spoke to the students about rewarding careers in the industry. She was even featured on Indianapolis FOX59! Click here to see the coverage.

All in all it was a very fulfilling event and we look forward to 2021 when the next World of Asphalt will take place in Atlanta, Georgia.
